There’s a good chance you haven’t heard of the Empower Africa Foundation yet, but we think you’ll be glad you did.

This is a small but deeply committed nonprofit built by people in the energy and utility space—people like us—who share something uncommon: a personal connection to Africa and a belief that our professional networks can make a tangible difference.

What makes this effort special is simple: we don’t try to “parachute in” solutions. Instead, we partner with local leaders in South Africa and Uganda who are already doing extraordinary work in their communities. We help them do more.

This support is already making a real impact:

• Families facing extreme unemployment receiving consistent, hot meals

• Children getting uniforms and shoes so they can attend school

• Land secured in Uganda for a safe space and educational center for orphaned children

• Women building sustainable income through a growing sewing initiative

Every dollar raised goes directly to these partners and their work.

Here's what to expect:

You'll hear directly from Mlu and Guy, the leaders of the work on the ground in Africa, who will join us live by video to share the real stories behind the work: families fed, children given a future, and communities finding hope.

You'll also meet the Empower Africa Foundation board and learn about the exciting momentum building, including our upcoming charity golf tournament; a fun, meaningful way to rally your network around a cause that matters.

This is not a big ask. It's simply a chance to connect, be inspired, and see the difference that people in the energy industry are already making together.
